Beach Depositories handles the full lifecycle of shipping — from receiving inventory into the vault to shipping items back to account holders.

Inbound shipments

Inbound shipments bring inventory items into the vault.

Process

  1. Create shipment — An inbound shipment is created with tracking and carrier information
  2. Receive — Vault staff receives the package and verifies contents
  3. Inspect — Items are inspected, cataloged, and photographed
  4. Assign — Items are assigned to the appropriate FBO account
  5. Store — Items are securely stored in the vault

Tracking

Each inbound shipment includes:
  • Carrier and tracking number
  • Expected and actual delivery dates
  • Declared value and insurance coverage
  • List of items received

Outbound shipments

Outbound shipments send inventory items from the vault to account holders.

Requesting an outbound shipment

Outbound shipments can be requested by:
  • Organization admins from the dashboard
  • Organization members with access to the FBO account

Process

  1. Request — Select items and a destination address
  2. Review — Vault staff reviews the request
  3. Pack — Items are securely packaged with appropriate insurance
  4. Ship — Package is handed off to the carrier
  5. Deliver — Tracking updates are provided until delivery

Insurance

All outbound shipments are insured. Coverage is determined by:
  • The declared value of the items
  • The FBO account’s max insured value
  • The organization’s max insured value

Return shipments

Items that have been shipped out can be returned to the vault. Return shipments follow the same intake process as inbound shipments — items are received, inspected, and reassigned to the appropriate FBO account.
